The Mid-Missouri Regional Planning Commission is a planning partner with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT). Through a contract with MoDOT, the Mid-MO RPC hosts bi-monthly meetings to facilitate an exchange between the region’s elected/appointed leaders and MoDOT staff on various transportation projects. The Mid-MO RPC collaborates with the region’s two metropolitan transportation-planning organizations, Capitol Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) and the Columbia Area Transportation Study Organization (CATSO) in planning for the region’s transportation needs and opportunities. Through regular attendance at meetings of CAMPO and CATSO, regional planning commission staff remain focused on transportation planning issues that include or impact the Mid-Missouri region.
