Environmental Review

Every project receiving federal funding (e.g. HUD/CDBG etc.) is required by federal law to comply with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).  The express purpose of NEPA is the conservation and protection of our nation’s natural resources.

An initial environmental assessment will indicate a project’s potential effects on the natural and cultural environment.   Should the assessment indicate the need for further environmental review, staff of the Mid-MO RPC have the expertise to determine the level of review required, conduct the necessary research,  and prepare the Environmental Assessment for submission to the appropriate agency.

The following is a list of Environmental Assessments that have been prepared by the Mid-MO RPC staff:

  • Hickman House Rehabilitation Environmental Assessment
  • Missouri Soybean Association Farm Purchase Environmental Statutory Checklist
  • California Senior Housing Rehabilitation Environmental Assessment
  • Pilot Grove Senior Housing Rehabilitation Environmental Assessment
